What Is BSNL Cinema Plus?
Cinema Plus is a rebranded version of YuppTV Scope, a partnership BSNL first launched with YuppTV back in 2021.
It’s built around a single unified interface where you can discover and watch content from multiple partner OTT apps rather than opening each one separately, and BSNL bundles it as an add-on specifically for its Bharat Fibre broadband customers rather than offering it as a standalone product.
The service claims a catalogue of over 300 live TV channels, 8,000+ movies, and 500+ TV shows and web series across more than 10 languages. Of course, genuinely, it is one of the more content-dense OTT bundles available from an Indian telecom operator.
It’s a direct answer to similar aggregator products from competitors, like Airtel’s Xstream Play and Jio’s own bundled OTT offerings.

Cinema Plus is currently sold as three separate packs, each bundling a different combination of OTT apps. The subscription fee is added directly to your BSNL broadband bill rather than charged separately.

How to Activate BSNL Cinema Plus
- Go to the official BSNL Cinema Plus portal.
- Choose your preferred pack (Basic, Starter, Full, or Premium) and complete the purchase using your BSNL phone number, telecom circle, email ID, and full name.
- You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it to validate the subscription.
- Once validated, your chosen OTT subscriptions activate against the registered mobile number (RMN) linked to your Bharat Fibre connection.
- Download the YuppTV Scope app (or the relevant partner app) on your device of choice: Android, iOS, Android TV, Fire TV, or via a web browser on desktop.
- For content that lives natively in a partner app (rather than inside the YuppTV Scope interface), you may need to install that specific app separately and sign in using your registered mobile number.
For smart TVs specifically: open the relevant OTT app, select “Log in,” and you’ll typically be shown a code. Enter that code on the corresponding web page or mobile app version of the same platform, signed in with your registered number, to link the two.
If you’re setting this up on a new smart TV, the Xiaomi 32-inch F Series Smart LED Fire TV is a reasonably priced option that supports the Cinema Plus bundles.
How to Unsubscribe from BSNL Cinema Plus
- Visit the Cinema Plus website and select the “Manage” option.
- Enter your BSNL Broadband number (DSL/FTTH/Air Fibre/BBoWiFi) in the format: STD code without the leading zero, followed by your telephone number (e.g., a number listed as 0444-2340000 should be entered as 4442340000).
- Select your state, complete the captcha, and submit.
- You’ll receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Enter it to confirm the deactivation request.
One important timing detail: deactivation requests need to be submitted at least two days before your renewal date.
If you miss that window, the subscription auto-renews for another month regardless, so it’s worth setting a reminder if you’re planning to cancel rather than waiting until the last moment.
