Motorola One Fusion Plus review

Now we’ll have the phone analysis after a thorough weeks’ usage. We know that it isn’t time to evaluate a product. But we share the pros and cons of this product based on our readers’ submission, which we believe is in its first usage.

Whatever may be, after a long time Motorola has come with good smartphone specifications in the mid-price range. We hope you might have been impressed by the specifications.

Please note that this analysis is based on an average user viewpoint, solely on our daily usage.

Display

As you know it comes with a 6.5-inch IPS screen without any notch on the screen. Hence itself it offers a full-screen viewing experience and we find the quality of the IPS display is exceptional.

More importantly, it is HDR 10 certified. Video watching experience was also nice on this display and also remember that it is not a premium display like AMOLED. Also, keep in mind that there is no protection for the display panel.

Water protection

Even on our use, it comes across the mild splashes of water on its screen and it still performs fantastically without any issues. Later on, we find on the Motorola website that this phone can withstand normal splashes of water.

User Interface

Then again we are pleased with the user interface that gives almost a stock android experience. Furthermore, it comes without any bloatware and advertising like we see in some other mid-range smartphones.

Only they have integrated some Motorola-specific apps for our use. We feel the smooth transition of the interface and it can result from the noninclusion of crappy advertisement and other bloatware.

Processor,RAM and Storage

The processor Snapdragon 730G Soc processor also provides optimum performance by integrating stock android as a user interface. This is the best processor you can bring to smartphones in the mid-range.

The 6 GB RAM is more than enough to run this smartphone faster and smoother.

The primary memory is 128 GB which is adequate for a regular user and this combination of 6GB,128 GB is a very good one in this price range.

Sound Quality

The 3.5 mm headphone jack provides a very decent sound quality. Through various headphones and earphones, we have enjoyed the excellent sound performance.

The bottom-firing speaker isn’t a stereo model and still offers pretty decent sound.

The earpiece quality is still above average and doesn’t expect a top experience as in the flagship phones.

Network reception

We feel that its network reception ability is above average. Checked this phone in the weak network coverage area where some of our phones fail to catch the signal. Interestingly it worked as in the usual range without any call drop.

It has no notification light. But when we pick up the phone there is a unique feature that we will get all the notifications on the screen instantly.

The fingerprint scanner given on the back is very accurate, and we noticed a slight lag in the response to wake-up the display.

Gaming

And gaming experience on this phone was quite impressive and Snapdragon 730G Soc processor gives its maximum potential during the gaming session. During our gaming evaluation, we did not observe any remarkable rise in temperature.

Battery

Battery life we get on this phone with a 5000mAh battery is outstanding. In our daily use, we got about 10-11 hours of battery backup with casual surfing, gaming, watching videos, and listening to music, etc.

18W turbocharger coming with this smartphone provides fast charging. The battery can be charged fully within two hours.

Camera

The quad-camera configuration also gives a reasonable result. The skin tone it provides in the pictures is excellent and its result is similar to Poco X2.In natural and artificial ambient light conditions it gives good images.

But it suffers in low light conditions as we saw in other mid-range phones. The rear camera also has a night mode that gives much better pictures in the night time shots.

Together with the rear camera, the front pop up camera also provides good quality. We feel that the front camera drops its efficiency slightly in artificial light conditions. We hope it will be improved in the next update of the software.

Suggestions

It comes with a dedicated google assistant button. In our opinion, most users do not use google assistant in their daily use. But we couldn’t find any configuration setting for this button to allow this for any other use for those who don’t use google assistant.

The Motorola one Fusion Plus does not have a compass sensor, which is a downside because some applications need a compass sensor.

This phone supports wi-fi calling. But in the quick settings, there is no dedicated toggle option for wi-fi calling. Hope Motorola will include this option in their future software update.

The polycarbonate back cover is a fingerprint magnet so better to use the unit’s back protective cover.

Conclusion

Our Rating

Rating: 4 out of 5.

To those people who love the stock android experience, faster performance, and best battery backup, it’s a great device in the price range of 16,999.
